brilliant bags for spring
Mini - Almost every signature bag now has its baby counterpart! Mini versions of the original handbag favorites have been popping up everywhere, and they are darling! As you might know, I am a huge fan of the Coach Mini-Tanner bag. I have been keeping my eye on it, and although the gorgeous mint color that Grace from Stripes & Sequins has is sold out, I am contemplating the watermelon color.
Tassels - My good friend Amie has been telling me to talk about tassels for weeks! She and I were shopping and it seemed that every bag I loved had a tassel detail. Some of my favorites include this Dorothy Perkins bag & the asos tassel clutch.
Bold Color - This is kind of a given if you have set foot in any store during the past few months, but I still wanted to highlight some of my favorites! I am obsessing over this bold Modcloth bag called "Bright as Day." Isn't the name perfect?
Print - Kate Spade has just knocked it out of the park with fun prints this season. They have florals, polka dots & even a bow print bag. If you are someone that wears a lot of solid color(s), a fun print bag would give your outfit a punch of personality.
Texture - I cannot say enough good things about the J. Crew Mini Brompton Hobo. I received the leather indigo version for Christmas and use it daily. It is one of those bags that literally fits everything I could ever want to put in it, but isn't oversized, nor does it lose it's shape. SO- you can imagine how excited I was to find that J. Crew released a fun straw texture version for spring (at a lower cost than the leather version)!! The caspian night color is gorg. Coach has some cool straw textured bags as well, I really like this one & this one.
Lasercut - Not only are we seeing this awesome lasercut detail on bags for spring, but also on clothing. I love how intricate lasercut designs are. This bag by BCBG has been circulating pinterest and I love it more & more each time I see it. I am also loving this beautiful Ivanka Trump shoulder bag.
Clear - So this might be a trend that not everyone is on board with, but I love it! I have seen tons of accessories that are lucite or clear, and I think they are fun and add a modern flare. Plus, it's a great excuse to get an adorable wallet, phone case, keychain, notebook... I mean, everyone is going to see what's in your bag! I recently purchased the Shoemint Le Petit Bowler and am dying to get it in the mail! Cannot wait to post some photos of it. Stay tuned!
