Hi from the west coast beauties!
We are (somewhat) settled in LA! Woot. The good news is that John and I and the puppies made it safe and sound. Did I tell you we all flew on the same plane?! The entire process was stresssssful. BUT! We have a nice new place and we are loving obessessed with the sunshine! The bad news: our truckload of stuff + my car are still being shipped... so that has been a bit frustrating but overall, I cannot complain.

I have already picked up on some west coast style tips in my short 48 hours of California habitation. What is that you ask? These people know how to layer. I'm not talking like a top & a cardigan... I am talking full-on, strategic, stylish, effortless layering. What have I been doing in the midwest all my life?! Obviously not learning how to layer west-coast style, thats for sure.

I am going to take a wild guess and say the layering is due to the ever-fluctuating weather. I have been up in the early AMs here and it truly is pretty chilly... and as the day goes on and the sun shines down upon you it gets pretty warm! I can completely understand why layers are a complete neccessity.

The ladies featured above have it down pat. I think a utility vest and some chic sweatshirts will be making their way into my new (walk in!!!) closet stat. Are there any other effortless pieces that I need to be investing in to further my layering endeavors? Share them plz!
